I have known Master Oh and Master Jay for since 2007. During that time they both were my Masters. I have learned a great deal from both of them through hard training and their individualized training. I had the opportunity to be taught by Master Oh in the instruction of students ranging from 3 to 6 year olds. With this knowledge I am now able to be an instructor in this age group and leading them through their TKD journey as Master Oh has lead me. Not only has Master Oh and Master Jay taught me but also taught my son who has Autism. Their patience with my son was amazing and he is now a 3rd Dan Black Belt.
Thank you Master Oh and Master Jay for everything you have done for me and my son. Master Cynthia Reaves |
My name is Steve Dicks and I am currently a Black Belt in Knightdale, NC, along with my wife Amy a Black Belt, son Xander a Black Belt, and daughter Sienna a Black Belt. We’ve had the pleasure of studying under the leadership of Master Oh and Master Jay early on in our journey to becoming Black Belts. They laid the foundation to our training and respect of Tae Kwon Do. Our view of them comes from many different angles. As parents to two of their younger students we saw them as mentors, moral compasses, givers of tough love, as well as kind and truly caring teachers. We saw how invested they were in seeing our children and all the other students succeed in the dojang, at school, and at home. They not only wanted to create amazing Tae Kwon Do students they wanted to influence the creation of amazing people. We see them as our teachers. They don’t let up on us. Once we are in the dojang we are students along with our children and were pushed just as hard. They were always willing to stay late and give extra help when any students needed it. Countless times we asked for their extra time to get ready for a testing or competition and they would never say no. We also see them as our friends. We have grown to care for them very much. Although we miss them, we want nothing less than for them to achieve their dreams.

Enrolling in taekwondo class has been one of the best decisions I've made for my family. Not only is taekwondo a fun and challenging sport to participate in, it's also a great platform for fitness, stress relief, and community building. I've been thankful to find an activity that my whole family can enjoy despite our different levels.
Among the various instructors I've had over the years, Master Oh is one of the best--by far! She knows how to encourage new students and challenge more experienced students. Whether you want to start class for fun or train harder for competition, you can do it all with Master Oh. Ashley Lam |
